Magnolia Fabrics is one of our favorite go-to sources for home decor cut-yardage fabrics. If you are not familiar with the term “cut-yardage”, allow us to break it down for you.
We order fabrics either by the “bolt” also known as “piece/half-piece” or by “cut-yardage”.
If you have a project that doesn’t require a great deal of fabric – lets say less than 15 yards, we recommend ordering through the cut-yardage program.
The fabric price by yard will be a bit more but you won’t be required to order more than you need.
Ordering through the bolt program requires a larger minimum purchase, usually at least 15 yards. This is enough for two wing chairs or a small sofa.
The minimum amount to purchase via cut-yardage is 3 yards and this will provide you enough fabric to make a few pillows.
New fabric offerings from Magnolia include cozy, contemporary chenilles; bright prints and intricate embroidery.
Shown below are Wambach, Hackett and Dobkin.
Shown below, left to right are new, colorful options including a whimsical floral called Hippa Rainbow, Splat Garden; a mid-century modern inspired design and an artistic abstract called Chalabi Jewels.
Asian/Chinoiserie motifs continue to be very popular. Idra is a new Magnolia fabric offered in icy blue and pastel blush. The background has a wonderful sheen featuring majestic scenes from the mountains of Nepal and embroidered pagodas. This fabric would make stunning window treatments or bedding.
We also like Lozeau Sage; an exotic, high-end embroidery. Also show is Deckon, a contemporary embroidered fabric suitable for drapery and bedding. It is offered in Moondust – platinum gray and Intrigue – a rosy blush.
