Meet “The Gents” and their fabric collection Into the Garden

John Loecke and Jason Oliver Nixon are the design team behind the internationally known brand: Madcap Cottage. Their whimsical interiors and fabric collections are full of pattern play and explosive, yet livable color. Picture English gardens and chic Chinoiserie designs in happy, modern hues.

“If you are looking for beige and boring, bark up someone else’s tree,” quips Jason. “We live and breathe ‘whimsy,’ but our projects are bespoke, sophisticated, and perfectly catered to our clients’ sensibility and ‘brand.’ They are also spectacularly livable.

The Madcap Gent’s own sun room features their Windsor Manor fabric with yellow contrast welt and skirt banding in bubble-gum pink…Yum!

Into the Garden is a Madcap Cottage collaboration with Robert Allen @ Home and features 55 decorative fabrics including small scale prints, cut velvet and over-sized floral fabrics. Inspired by historically loved looks paired with a well-traveled, fashion-forward sense, this collection boasts vibrant colors keeping the look fresh and energetic. The designer fabrics coordinate effortlessly not only within the collection but easily blend with other Madcap Cottage designs and your existing home decor. Pile on the prints!

Think, “more is more”.

One of our favorite looks is a small scale scatter (or Dalmatian) dot, which continues to be a popular trend in home decor and is a perfect pairing with large scale designs.

Mill Reef is available in 4 colorways and is a medium weight cotton fabric that is durable enough to be used in upholstery applications as well as window treatments, lampshades, pillows, of course!…and how ADORABLE would this be as a shower curtain?
